Firstly， translators can contract clients from all over the world.The markets for translations are not limited to one place anymore.Compared to the expanding of place range， the time for the source texts sent to translators to be rendered into another，or several other languages is usually within a very short period of time.Singlehanded translators will not be able to compete with others from all over the world， who will compete not just in speeds but also in fees.Nevertheless， translators have to maintain a high degree of reliability because clients need to be able to trust their unseen clients and spread the good name of the translators to others by word of mouth.
Secondly， translation work of some company—specific contents or various forms of LSP texts is mostly transferred via electronic communications， so there will be security risks.The translation work is on materials concerning clients' privacy or their companies' secrecy.These materials are expected not to be open to the public， and this is indeed why high degree of trust are so essential.When transferring and receiving translation files，translators have to learn various methods of secure zipping， safe emailing， or other customer—specific way of encoding and decoding with the expected safe codes.
